Lesley Hooper (Bowen Therapist)

Lesley’s background is in health and fitness, having worked in the industry for 35 years. She has a love for all parts of it, especially the social aspect. She specializes in Bowen therapy, Pilates and nutrition.

Her passion for The Bowen Technique developed after her daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis over 20 years ago, and Lesley was keen to find alternative techniques to the physiotherapy that was available at the time after her daughter’s subsequent extensive corrective surgery. Bowen treatments help to realign the body, release muscle tension, help relieve pain and promote relaxation.

With her vast knowledge and experience, gained through working alongside physiotherapists, and through taking healthy back clinics and attending pain clinics in the RUH, Lesley can help you with exercises to complement your Bowen treatments. Exercises include core stability, posture, stretching, muscle and joint strengthening – all to promote a strong, healthy back.

If you would like a more in-depth exercise session, either one-to-one or with a partner or friend, Lesley would be more than happy to offer day or evening appointments at Tranquil Fields.
